Missions Month

Operation Christmas Child

Every year we collect supplies and pack Christmas boxes for children all over the world. The past two years we sent over $1,000 boxes! Click HERE to go to the 2017 page!

Vast is exploring what it would look like to have a partnership with Good Samaritan Ministries in southern India. Discussions are taking place following a scouting trip that was taken in Nov 2018.

Vast loves serving in Mexico! We partner with the church La Puente in Tepic, Nayarite, to learn from them, fellowship with them, and serve them in any way we can. They recently outgrew their church, so we have begun construction on a new one and will try to finish it on the summer 2018 trip.

Other Mission Trips

 Project Portland

Vast’s high school ministry goes every year to Portland to live out the mission of Jesus by serving the people there.

Serve Central Oregon

Our middle schoolers (and high schoolers this year!) get their hands dirty and serve the people of Bend and Sisters. Gardening, serving food, and construction projects are all part of the fun.

Other Service Opportunities

Serve Sisters High School

We love the students and staff at Sisters High School! Each year we give the school some tlc to show them how much we care about them.

Ministries in the Community We Love

Hope Africa’s goal is to bring hope to destitute children through meeting their physical needs, providing quality education, and teaching them about God’s grace and mercy through His Son, Jesus. They believe that transformation of communities, nations and the world happens when we invest in children who are the future leaders of Uganda. Learn more about how you can partner with Hope Africa here.

Camp Eagle Cap is a Jesus-loving organization that offers a one week wilderness camp in the summer for at risk kids ages 10-12. Their vision is to touch the hearts of these kids and promote healing before they get to middle school/high school. Check them out here.

The shelter just got started this January! They would love donations and volunteers to take shifts. You can read more about it in this nugget article or go to the Sisters Cold Weather Shelter page on Facebook.

Moms in Prayer meets at the Rays conference room Tuesdays at 8:15-9:30 to pray for the students in our community.

FAN gives meals to students for the weekend. They always need dry and canned goods donated to their Weekend Food Program, which you can drop off at the church office.
